City2Classroom

Field Experiences

Field Experiences take students out of the classroom and into the city. Purposefully planned and timed, the trips expose students to industry professionals — corporate, nonprofit, and individual. This exposure helps unlock possibilities of career exploration, community collaboration, and citizenship responsibility, answering the age old questions:

When will I ever use this?
and
Could that be me?

Career

UrbanX partners with the business community to provide Field Experiences that help our students see a tangible pathway to STEM careers.

Collaboration

At UrbanX, we connect our students to the wealth of expertise and goodwill that exists in Chicago. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do. It is how we will close the opportunity gap.

Citizenship

Each workshop is aligned to courses to contextualize classroom learning. Moreover, our each experience is designed to inspire and empower students to action that will impact their communities.
