Ambassadors4Success

In partnership with

A 4-year supplemental high school program, Ambassadors4Success prepares low-income students for bright futures in STEM careers and shows teachers how to guide them there.

There are four major elements to our program:

Our standards-aligned STEM summer courses place students at the center of a collaborative learning environment. Students learn to ask guiding questions and explore the answers through interaction with local businesses and civic organizations.

We show teachers how to help students become critical thinkers. Through a combination of online and in-person collaborative workshops, teachers learn to deliver high quality, inquiry-based instruction.

Throughout the school year, students reconnect monthly at Saturday seminars designed to keep them on track to graduate and succeed in their internship placements.

During senior year A4S Scholars gain invaluable workplace experience in an entry level placement with one of our strategic program partners.

Scholarships

Global Citizen Scholarship Fund

Each year, UrbanX Learning provides scholarships to underserved students to attend the GCE Lab School. Generous funding from our donors gives deserving students access to an exceptional learning environment. The GCE Lab School uses an innovative teaching and learning platform designed to ignite the unique potential of every student through the creation and delivery of personalized teaching and learning experiences.

It works. 100% of UrbanX scholarship recipients are accepted into college!

Carolyn McLaughlin Memorial Fund

In early 2014, friends and family came together to honor the life of a beloved mother, wife, philanthropist and educator by donating to the Carolyn McLaughlin Memorial Fund (CMMF), giving outstanding underserved students an opportunity for an exceptional education at the GCE Lab School.
